What kind of school do your kids attend and do they live at home?

Yes, our kids live with us at home. They attend Grace International School, which is in the same neighborhood as our house. All their classes are taught in English, although they do study Thai as a foreign language. Grace offers most of the sports and extracurricular activities that would be available to our kids if they were back in the U.S., plus more since it is an International school.

What is your house like?

We are renting a house in the same neighborhood as Grace International School. The house has four bedrooms, with A/C units in each bedroom (but only in the bedrooms). Our house is made mostly of brick and cement, no drywall and no wood (except for the doors/doorways). The floors are either tile or wood. Most notably the differences are in the kitchen and bathroom. The stove is fueled by a propane tank, but our small oven is electric. Most Thai kitchens are outside, but our house was built with foreigners in mind, I think, as it is indoors. (Although, that said, it didn't come with a stove or oven. We had to put those in ourselves). I really like the way they set up the bathrooms in homes over here. It is very much a utility room. The walls are tile all the way to the ceiling and the floor is all tile with a drain. No worries about keeping it clean! Another difference is they don't do built-ins, like closets for clothes or linens. We had to buy wardrobes and cabinets to store things in.
